The Chullpas of Sillustani are an ancient funerary complex located in the Puno Region of Peru. The site is believed to have been constructed by the Colla people, an Aymara culture that lived in the area during pre-Inca times. The Chullpas are a series of large stone towers, some reaching up to 30 meters in height. The towers were used as tombs, with the remains of the deceased placed inside.

We will pick you up from your Puno hotel at 2:00 pm. Then, we’ll ride in our own vehicle to the Sillustani archaeological site. You will receive a guided tour of the location after arrival. You will get knowledge of the Chullpas’ cultural relevance to pre-Inca and Inca cultures as well as their historical development. The Lake Umayo shoreline, which are close to Sillustani, will be our next stop.
Following the tour, we’ll head back to Puno, where we’ll arrive around 5:30.
