Choquequirao is an Incan archaeological site located in the Peruvian Andes, near the town of Cachora. It is believed to have been built around the same time as Machu Picchu, and is thought to have been used as a royal estate and retreat by the Incan Emperor Pachacutec.

We’ll pick you up from your Cusco hotel. After that, we’ll travel to San Pedro de Cachora. Before getting to Cachora, we’ll make a halt and eat breakfast.
We shall begin our journey once we get to Cachora. Walking to Capuliyoc will provide us breathtaking views of the Apurimac valley and the snow-capped Padreyoc and Wayna Cachora mountains.
We will next make our way down to Cocamasana and finally to Playa Rosalina, where our camping is. There, we’ll stay the night.
After breakfast on the second day, we will depart from our campsite rather early. Then, after a five-hour climb, we will arrive in Raqaypata, which is close to the Chunchumallyo river. There, we’ll make a pit stop for lunch.
We will then hike to Choquequirao. Once we are there, you will have a guided tour of the Inca ruins. We will return to our campsite to spend the night after the trip.
We’ll hike to Rio Blanco when we leave our campsite. We’ll go via various cloud forests as well as the archeological site of Pinchaunuyoc. We will climb to the Maizal sector, where we will spend the night, once we pass Rio Blanco.
Early in the morning, we will set off on foot for the San Juan mountain pass. Along the route, we’ll see the breathtaking cloud forests and Andean mountains. We’ll pause for lunch once we pass San Juan. After that, we will make our way down to the Yanama campground to spend the night.
We will trek to the 4800 m.a.s.l. Yanama mountain pass after breakfast ( 15748 f.s.a.l). We will then take in the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Sacsarayoc peak from there. After that, we’ll make our way down to Totora Town, where we’ll spend the night.
We’ll get up early tomorrow. We will climb to La Playa town, which is situated at 2320 meters above sea level, after breakfast (7611 f.a.s.l.). We expect to walk for about seven hours. We’ll pass through coca and banana plantations on the way. We’re going to stay the night in La Playa.
The final day of the trek will be today. We will climb from La Playa town to Hydroelectrica, which is close to the Aguas Calientes train station. Until we arrive in Aguas Calientes town, we will stroll alongside the railroad. You will spend the night in a hotel room after we transfer you there. You’ll get some free time to look around the community and visit its well-known hot springs.
At 5:00 am, we’ll eat breakfast. After that, a bus will take us to Machu Picchu. You will access the Inca citadel once you have passed through the security checks.
You will be given a guided tour of Machu Picchu’s most famous structures. You will go to places like the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Temple of the Condor. We will then head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. The cost of the tour does not include lunch.
We will ride a train in the late afternoon to the Sacred Valley village of Ollantaytambo. We will then take a car back to Cusco. We plan to get to Cusco at 9:00 p.m.
