Lima hotel transfer.
7:30 am
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am and drive to Ica. On the way, we will stop at one of the wineries for a tour and to learn about the pisco’s process production, as well as to taste different types of piscos and wines. Next, we will visit Ica’s main square and the Huacachina lagoon, from which we will drive our dune buggies toward the great dunes.
This section of the desert is one of the most beautiful in South America, with breathtaking views and opportunities to learn sandboarding from our guide. If the weather permits, we will watch the sunset from the dune. In the evening, we return to our Huacachina hostal, where we will spend the night.
We will leave for Paracas in a private vehicle at 6:30 a.m., arriving at the Chaco wharf around 7:45 a.m., from where we will take a boat to the Paracas National Reserve. During the excursion, we will stop to see the amazing candelabra figure that was drawn on the hillside of Paracas bay.
Anyway, our guide will inform you about this figure, and then we will travel to the Ballestas Islands, where we will enjoy the sea fauna. We will travel around the islands, passing through large caves and natural formation rocks that are home to pelicans, Humboldt penguins, seals, dolphins, and other animals. We will return to the Chaco wharf after touring the entire isle. We will depart at 10:30 a.m. for the National Reserve of Paracas, which is protected by the national government and the only national reserve that protects sea species and plants.
We will leave the location to drive through the Paracas desert, stopping at a nice viewpoint to see spectacular views of Paracas blue sea and some natural formations. We will eventually visit the beautiful beaches of Arena Roja and Playa Lagunillas, where we will have lunch and drinks at one of the nicer restaurants. We will leave Lima in our private conveyance around 2:30 pm and arrive at the hotel about 7:00 pm.
